The challenge
Weld's website needed more than a standard redesign. The core of Weld's business isn't the site itself, it's the valuation logic behind it: turning a business owner's inputs into a credible estimate of what their company is worth. Weld needed that logic to live on the web as a real, working tool, not just a lead form. That meant building a calculator that could:
- Guide users through a multi-step valuation flow, not a single static form
- Pull in outside data through an API to inform certain variables
- Send data to Weld's systems in real time as users move through the flow
- Generate a takeaway report at the end
- Flex into different versions: a free public assessment, versions branded for individual advisor clients, and versions tailored to specific industries
Our approach
We split the work into two tracks. The website itself is a more straightforward Webflow build, recently relaunched with an updated design. The bigger effort went into Pulse, Weld's valuation calculator, which we built from Weld's own specifications for how business value should be calculated.
Rather than a one-off project, Pulse has become an ongoing build. Most of our work with Weld now is refining and extending the calculator, plus smaller requests as they come up.

Select variables in the calculator are pulled live from an external API rather than entered manually.
Real-time data sync
Responses are sent through as users progress through the flow. Completed results are forwarded to both HubSpot and Weld's Supabase backend.
PDF report generation
At the end of the flow, users can generate a PDF report summarizing their results.
Multiple calculator variants
Pulse isn't a single fixed tool. It exists as a free public assessment, as dynamically generated versions branded for Weld's individual advisor clients, and as industry-specific versions, currently live for the pool services industry.
The results
The project gave Weld a working version of its core product, business valuation, delivered directly through the web instead of a manual, back-and-forth process. Because Pulse was built to flex into client-branded and industry-specific versions, Weld can extend it to new advisors or new industries without starting from scratch each time.
