Challenges: Preserving WordPress flexibility in a modular Webflow setup
In early 2025, Remberg partnered with Flowout to migrate their website from WordPress to Webflow. However, they didn’t want just a visual overhaul - they needed to retain the powerful flexibility of their WordPress setup, specifically their use of ACF blocks (Advanced Custom Fields), which acted as a modular page builder.
Key challenges we faced:
- 1:1 migration fidelity: Rebuilding the site to match the WordPress version pixel-for-pixel while also improving performance.
- Component-based editing: Replicating ACF’s backend functionality in Webflow so editors could create and manage pages without relying on designers or developers.
- Advanced logic: Enabling layout variations (like content/image order, background styling) through intuitive controls within Webflow’s Editor.
- Localization shift: Transitioning the default language from German to English for improved global SEO reach.

Our solution
Component-first development strategy
Flowout rebuilt every section of the website as a reusable component in Webflow. Each component came equipped with toggles, switches, and conditional logic, allowing editors to dynamically adjust layout, orientation, and styling without any design expertise.
Visual control over layout
Custom code was embedded into components to control:
- Section background color or image
- Element alignment (image left/text right vs. image right/text left)
- Section stacking order
- Visibility toggles for optional fields
This mimicked the ACF experience while providing a more visual and intuitive interface for editors.
Full migration + localization
The site was rebuilt to match the original WordPress design exactly, ensuring brand consistency across platforms.
The entire website was also localized with English set as the default language, repositioning the site for international SEO visibility.
Thanks to the component system, non-design team members at Remberg can now build full landing pages on their own - no Webflow experience required.

Implementation highlights
60+ components built
Every section of the site was developed as a standalone, switchable component.
Visual ACF logic in Webflow
Custom JavaScript logic enabled style and layout switches directly in the Editor.
Seamless localization
Entire site transitioned from German-first to English-first setup, improving global search indexing.
Scalable editing workflow
Editors can build or update complex pages with just a few clicks and no design bottlenecks.

The results
The collaboration between Remberg and Flowout delivered a flexible, scalable Webflow site that empowers the team to grow without tech limitations.
What we achieved:
- Developer independence: Marketing and content teams can now build full pages without coding or design assistance.
- ACF-to-Webflow parity: The custom component system replicates and improves upon ACF flexibility within a visual builder.
- Global readiness: English-first localization and SEO improvements have opened doors to international reach.
- Efficient site management: What used to take hours in WordPress can now be done in minutes using modular Webflow components.
Flowout continues to support Remberg with technical enhancements and component scaling as the company evolves.
